All vehicles already have gears, 6 of em. Not sure if you can reach the 6th, but you can notice the shifting in a jeep.
Well yes, but I mean actively switching gears. With buttons. I mean, I'd love it, experienced racers would have an advantage with getting up to speed in non-tank vehicles.
dizzyone: about the rear traction and mass: if Empires is still using HL2 vehicle physics you can just change mass center point (override it value to move it to the rear)
I have. It is easy to maneuver 3 phase when and you know when to release the gas and when to brake if you start to over turn and so on. Only thing with the sliding is that you lose speed during it too. The 3 Phase can't keep up the RPMs to retain the full speed during the slide but it is a faster way than slowing down and then accelerating again. And how you do this? Get scout's speed upgrade and slide away.
how do you do what? Ive played with it as I had put it on the bsid rc server for a little while, it was uncontrollable most of the time. Its a tank and not a v8 sand buggy, you're fighting spinning out more than being able to manouvre.
I was driving 3phase before you even had pubic hair. Make me a video of you driving around with these settings, and we'll see how much you can control the spinning out while trying to actually get at your target asap.
Granted, it takes a few slings to get back into control Dizzyone, but it IS possible. In before someone being a better driver than me.
As a comm, I saw Dizzyone completely own two BE heavy tanks (full comp armour and nukes) in his 3phase LT. I think he has more than enough experience.
NF's LTs are very fast with 3phase. That makes it easy to kill them. I can kill them too if I just get good armoring and 3phase on my LT.
