i think it would be usefull if the scout can attach a small tracking system to a vehicle so even if the vehicles is not in sight everyone can still see his position. this tracker could be permanent or temporary (batterys run out of energy). permanent would be VERY usefull when the enemy cv is being tracked.
blakkcopper just spammed random suggestions and hoped they work, but they are all failing as he doesnt know how to search. *facepalm*
What about a tag gun that shows the scout what armor and engine the tank has similar to the armor detection skill.. I could see that being helpful.. Research would be more tactical then random..
Or if scout could "sabotage" on a tank to get this info for the commander? I agree there should be a better way to spy on enemy tech for the sole reason of making research tactical rather than random "ill get this and hope it pays off or is somehow useful!" and scout is ideal class for such a role. ...sorry for continuing the thread derailing but maybe we can get some use out of this useless thread?
I suggested this elsewhere, but I think that the scout should get sticky-sensors that can be thrown onto walls, tanks, etc, and have them act like engie sensors (but with no need to build them.) The scout can only have one out at once, and it can be 'killed' with a few enemy gunshots or one explosion (or if the scout throws a new one or changes class), but it lasts indefinitely until then. These would replace engie sensors. Very thematic; it allows for suitable scout sneakiness without unbalancing the game, and makes deploying sensors a fun role to play because of the "gotcha" element of hiding one on an enemy tank or in an odd location on the ceiling. Perhaps scout binoculars could also make it easy to see enemy scout equipment (highlighting them in the binocular display); this would give scouts the role of countering enemy scouts by searching for sensors, too.
