you know i like the turrets crouch bug what do you think about this: (lets say a turret got a range of 30m for example) the turret: 0-10m shoot on everything 11-20m shoot on everything moving 21-30m shoot on everything not crouching (maybe need to tune the distances) so players have the posibility to outsmart a turret. (just a stupid machine) maybe the ranges of a turret can be modifed if a camara is near. like: the turret: 0-25m shoot on everything 26-30m shoot on everything not crouching what do you think about that?
hmm didnt see this thread, but I always do this on escort to end the map as fast ass possible . Lets not forget you can actually jump ontop of a turret aswell and it wont target you at all, so dont think its exploiting, you can choose, get some cover by the turret, but the turret will shoot constantly and make every enemy around you aware you are there, or jump ontop of it out in the open where everyone can shoot you with ease, but where the turret will not target you and shoot constantly
I kind of like that idea with increase the effectivity of Turrets. Maybe allowing Camera spotted Hidden Scouts to be shot when they would appear on your HUD/Minimap in small bursts to scare the heck out of them. Maybe require a certian proximity to shoot though. And make it so Turrets can decloak Scouts if they hit them.
i want it both ways 1 a way to fool turrets, preferably on a challenging way (maybe like having 1 player run circles around it and other player killing it while it is busy trying to lock on to target, or more practically, yodan's way) 2 turrets not being exploited by some bugged stuff like walking in the barrel while the bullets start at the end of the barrel
yeah , i like the idea of turrets becoming a little smarter , or longer range by using radar or cameras how about have a turret that gets placed by the commander that is manned by people ( being a little cheaper to build ) or , could you have manned turrets inside the bunker/watch tower idea ?
