Oh, it has already gotten better. (I didn't look at the pictures.) I'll download this and maybe I'll start playing with you. Just give me the time and date and your IRC channel's address and I'll see what I can do.
I think even you got the TTD (http://www.owenrudge.net/download/download?t=1&id=129) and the patch for it. (http://tk.ttdpatch.net/ttdpt20r1W.zip) You still need the Open TTD patch/crack/hack/thingy/thing for it to run it in windows. (http://www.openttd.org/downloads.php) Edit: So if I got it right you first install the first link's game and then inside its installer's folder you'll see folder called "Patch for NT, 2k and XP," read the readme and do the thing which it tells you to. After that install the second patch which you'll find behind the second link. Now copy it in the game's folder as you did with the first patch and install it. Then install the last link's stuff. Worked for me. Edit II: WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! I had to do a little bit of searching to see how I could change the language of the game to finnish (because I didn't realize just to look in the game's setups) and I got exited again. :D So. Are we going to setup our own PUG? Or something like Saturday's Open Transport Tycoon Deluxe Tournament/Game, SOTTDT or SOTTDG. :p
you don't need ttdpatches, infact it won't do anything if you install it, those are coded ontop of the original TTD and will not work with openttd.
Right some people seem to be having trouble installing READ THIS http://wiki.openttd.org/index.php/Installation
Weedy: OpenTTD is not a patch, it is not a hack, it is not a crack. It's a clone. There's a difference. OpenTTD is 100% legitimate in the United States of America, and most other countries around the world (except those retarded few where proper reverse-engineering is illegal).
my problem with the game is that my resolution is too high and the game window wont enlarge thus making it very hard to play. it is fun but complicated...but fun......but complicated.
Openttd supports all resolutions, even widescreen, are you sure you've been playing openttd and not the original ttd?
I remember playing the original ttd ages ago, back in the Win95 days... Fun times. So... Where do we upload the savegames? Btw, their wiki is an awesome collection of info. I found out some stuff I never knew.
Oh yeah that was the word which I was after. I couldn't remember what this was so I just stuffed some stuff there.
*giggle* im sure im playing the right one. i guess ill just mess with more options, or read the wikki.
Sooo... Are we going to have some sort of Empires server on OTTD so we can have fun together with this clone?
