I meant for slow heavies. And I dunno, superior firepower has its perks. I'd drive that.

"Okay guys, I'm omw, just give me like five hours and I'll stomp 'em"

That's the thing - if everybody decides that driving a super slow, super powerful heavy, then doesn't that defeat the purpose? You're supposed to feel like you need escorts in the form of infantry and lighter vehicles. If that isn't necessary, then the whole thing starts to fall apart.

And besides, there's no upkeep costs, so there's no escalating disadvantage to just pooling heavies (and really only heavies) until you can just roll over even the staunchest of defenses. To me, that's not the intention. It just pushes gameplay back to where it's always been.

    On corridor maps sure....

The real fix would be limiting turret turn speed, but hey what can you do

The problem is that most maps are "corridor" maps. I mean, dust storm is nice. Moors is very open and it sorta works. I can't really think of another one.

Empires maps have vehicle areas that are basically designed with the same principles of infantry level design, just scaled up.

    Yes, this would be perfect.

If only we had some sort of wax-based combustion-powered illumination fixture to help us with this?

In fact, I think we might even need more than one.
