What's with all these people suddenly wanting access? Seems a bit weird to me, especially so (relatively) close to release.
Rare=desired. What is it, are you not using Steam content server that you have to add people manually or something?
Needs more testing and less playtesting, since playtesting has the worst time efficency ever AND you wouldn't need new players either, just ppl who want to test not randoms who want to test if their latest mortar skills are still up to date on the new version and pwn some other testers, on the other hand with only a few devs it doesn't matter if finding a single bug takes 20 minutes or 2 since it's not getting fixed the next 2 weeks anyway it just multiplies the number of needed tests, in that case playtests, to a monstrous PITA ... I mean, the current version isn't anywhere near that you would need playtests ...
I disagree. We had a stable, playable version, which was ready for playtesting. The reason it didn't work out like that is because something majorly fucked up with the content delivery/code compile, so we ended up testing with bugs that were fixed MONTHS ago. Once that's sorted, the game is more than ready for playtesting. I don't know how many regular tests you attended, but you'd know that 90% of the things that came up, besides the spec issue, were fixed long ago. Something just went wrong with the content delivery on this occasion. When the coders have some spare time again, they'll fix it, and we'll do another playtest.
It is when there's that many that just appeared. Something is just seriously wrong with the content delivery system, and that's what we need to work out first.
