Dangit, I was in spectate during this and quit before I could see it happen. To be fair though, was 4v8 by the time I left and I doubt it got better.

 

To be completely fair, it was 4v8 because at the 2nd to last flag, NF held like a boss for 10 minutes longer than they rightfully should have been able to, and I took squad lead and went behind, closed the short cut, and we back capped all the flags we lost in a single go.

Then we sabbed and mortared their VF, and Craig and a bunch of others ragequit because there just wasn't any time for BE to come back. Note that we capped with only 69 seconds on the clock .

 

I remember the first time I did this. Holy crap those were the days. I wish it were easier to do this.

 

Those were good times. It was thrillingly nostalgic to do it again and I'm happy to share it with you all.

I don't think it's too hard for BE. It's really not unless it's like a 20v20 or more :/. I mean until that 2nd to last flag, BE took each flag in under 3 minutes, it was rather steamrollish.

 

I think it's a map that just won't scale too well. In an 8v8, like that, if BE came down with 7 mediums and an apc, we would have been fucked. In a 40 man game, maybe not so much. They only ever had 2-3 vehicles on us at a time.

It still takes coordinaton, but they could have sent tanks simultaneously above and below, and we couldn't have defended that at all.

Escort is the most biased map out there. The amount of said bias has varied throughout versions, but always been there.
On low pops nf lacks the manpower to take down vehicles, oh high pops nf goes through tickets like a hot knife through butter.

IMO if nf has just few competent players, it can be near impossible to cap the last flag for BE even if they are better

 

Ive not seen nf win against a better be team ever.

Last flag is the hardest solely because its the only one you cannot dogpile 20 tanks and apcs into, what with the crates and carcasses blocking the way.

It takes like 3 people with some rev camping bunker and nf can only defend the highground. It seems people dont realise this weakness.
Even then there is a simple way of not even having to deal with the last flag to begin with, but it seems people are not the wiser.

 

Not sure how thats gonna help if Iam just gonna spam arty on the flag basically forever.

anyway, many times it would actually be better for NF to just simply let them cap all flags but the last one, especially when high pop and NF must care about tickets.
