Rofl moments

There's only been a couple of jeep racing matches that I can remember, or at least that have been documented on the forum. One was on money, which is somewhere in one of the three forums, and one was on cyclopean, which I participated in. I agree with the jeep racing thing. Maybe some sort of map that has a locked vf and no comm where you can only produce jeeps?

 

Maybe some Empires minigame like Dystopia's 'fistball'.

 

it should be a team game, all jeeps have no armour, and so you can have a grenadier passenger to shoot the other drivers.

 

mines may ruin that quick though. I'm all for it otherwise.

 

I think there should be no ammoes at all, maybe there needs to be custom sorts of engines made especially for racing.

I'd like a turbo engine research.

 

I'd like to add that to one of the existing engines. using turbo should add heat, and works like sprint, not HL2 turbo, I.E, while holding shift you go into the faster turbo mode and steadily gain heat.

 

That's actually nitro type engine. Turbo is all the time on, nitro isn't. But I also would like to have jeep racing maps and boost engines.

 

There is what's basically a jeep race map - some weird sewer map...

 

we need a volcanic island, with crazy crazy track laid out, that goes around, under, over, and inside the volcano. also, tubes that you can drive around like a corkscrew.

 

Tubes which you MUST drive like a corkscrew. :D

 

wont work, i dont think the jeeps would stay upside down, it would cause crashes and chaos and people would hate it.

 

If you go upside down you take damage, it's caused by the code which damages vehicles while upside down. It just doesn't see the difference between being in the air and being on the ground.

 

NOS is temporary push of a mounted button, turbos can be made to switch on or off with a flick of a switch. But pressing shift should turn it on or off.

 

Okay about the turbo.

But I was thinking about falling down corkscrew. It wouldn't be totally horizontal or vertical but quite much vertical so you would drive downwards towards the ground and that way you would get enough grip and speed to stick to the road's surface. The angle would be something like this \ or even bit more but I think that's a good angle for a corkscrew to stick on.

 

also need insane jump to reach the finish line... over the lava pit.

Just came off a hilarious round of escort a 'la 1.08

Lots of exploiting and such and i mananged to flip one of our apc's out of the map aswell, YAY :D

 

I should really check escort for design errors, last time i checked there were some issues.

 

Yeah like the very bad choke point in the S turns. Even you would have 2 nuke heavies filled to max armory and stuff you'll still get waisted when there's 10+ players playing that map.
