You should change some of the icons like the ones for the med and hvy tanks, but good overall. I really like those arrows you added as it really helps see the research flow.
I made the very abstract medium and heavy tank icons because they look quite different for both teams. Maybe I'll do seperate versions for BE and NF. Oh and thank you for your laud, I appreciate it
whats the flame with the line above it in physics? the railgun icon should still be improved, the + - doesn't make much sense (just guessing that you're refering to the electromagnetic charges that pull the shell along?)... if it were me i'd change it to a shell with rings coming out of the back... other than that, REALLY REALLY good. i LOVE the faded out way the unavailable researches are done. that's so proffesional.
+/- = rail its a magnetic technology. Rings are quake railguns I think the missile icons look to similar
Rings are used in almost all railgun tech. its alot easier to have an electromagnetic ring and line up the rings centers than it is to line up smaller magnets that are spaced like a ring.
Vessboy: Reflective will be changed to your idea. Private Sandbag: That line above the flames is 'Superheated Material Physics'. I'll give the rings a try.
I must say, the overall idea is very nice. My only suggestions are as follows: 1: Grey is a terrible color for completed, it usually means that you cannot do that, might cause confusion. 2: Only after seeing the biohazard symbol I understood what the ankh was for (I am also probably only one of few that knows what an ankh is, the rest of you typed it into google......Not trying to bash people here, just don't know how many know their ancient egyptian symbols). Something different might be better, a cell maybe? 3: My scientific self being bitchy here....for rail guns...by god use rails....if it has rings or coils its a coil gun, not a rail gun. The quake rail gun is a coil gun, also known as a Gauss Cannon (remember half life 1?) so please, don't use rings for a rail gun....they are different. 4: When I saw the atom for physics I thought chemistry, now it may be only me that gets this scientific but something like e=mc2 might be better for physics.
That's a coilgun/gauss gun. Railguns, well... they have rails. So basically it has a big red plus and minus shoot dotted blue circles at the pink bar to attach green arrows that make the gun shoot fast.
Here is try #5. It is the same scenario as last time. I exchenged the colors green and grey. So green now marks completed items and grey items are waiting in the queue. I also changed the reflective armor icon to what Vessboy proposed. Many of you will be pleased to see the new medium and heavy tank symbols. I used the BE models because I find it easier to distinguish their silhouettes than the NF ones. >>> CLICK <<<
i whould like that the three and the single researchs are different. the tank is a product and chassis 1 is a research path. so that you can see, what is a path, and what is a product. path = big arrows in the icon. showing in the direction of the next prduct/path product = more filled egdes maybe whit colour coding. (appear when finished research) armor = gray cannons = red. rockets = green engines = sand jellow, turrets = orange? chassis = metalish grey/black
