    If you take Healing upgrade you get a medic gun like that of alien swarm

    No health box skills until Medic is it's own class.

    no healthbox because it's going to impose 50 more bits of nuance that will only make sense after becoming familiar with it for half a year.

    It would make armory practically unnecessary... and makes a support class more effective. I think we just got used to healing sparks anyway...

    Great point, dropping boxes of anything is generally a bad idea when you want fast paced, "fluid" gameplay.

    There's an excellent video of Valve commentary for TF2. It explains why the TF2 medic is pretty much the best fast-paced medic ever.

    The third video has the medic clip and a another comment about why commander style gameplay (i.e. Empires, Empires, Empires) is inherently flawed.

    I suggest watching all three videos. In total, all three are almost 25 minutes long, but they have excellent design comments. These are must-sees.

    BTW- That was targeted to everyone, not FN.
