[Release] emp_valley

    More like 1.75 years.

    emp_valley was part of the old 2.12 maps that I recompiled for OB emp. The map is pretty much the same, except that I quadrupled the initial ref res rate (from 1 to 4). That was the only way I could justify to myself to rerelease this map.

    low res map. vehicles were supposed to only appear every once in a while

    Lack of research, not lack of vehicles, was the problem. You could either build a radar for research or VF for vehicles, but not both. It was also very prone to noobs building shit tanks that then die, screwing the team.

    In general, both sides rushed for lvl3 turrets spam and the map would last forever because it took forever to research the counters (HE, nukes, arty). Upping the res adds a bit more variety to the map.

    Low res maps would work better if grens were mor epowerful against lategame tanks but less powerful against standard tanks.

    yeah restricting comm turrets would be the best thing that could ever happen to this map.

    engi's could keep theirs but...lvl 3 clusterfucks are boring.

    this map could be worked into a single player tutorial for all the things FN mentioned above.
