Dude it was for both infantry and tanks. Infantry can get damage by it and it was good against tanks and building structures. You mean all this time you played Empires and never got hit by that gun and not taken any damage as an infantry?
That's the problem right there. It was good against everything. What would be the point in researching anything else? Why would there be 10 different machine guns if one was enough to kill everything? Every weapon should have an advantage and a disadvantage.
-Fixed: players in vehicles could not hurt themselves with explosives this is bad.. you cant shoot out of a passanger seat with out instantly dieing.. people wont under stand why they die with this implemented
Dizzyone, the HE MG is overpowered because you can snipe from far away with it. On Duststorm doing tank wars, the only people actually winning tank fights were using he mg to wear down armor before anyone got close to them. I think its spread should be increased more than anything.
Did anyone notice that there are no graphical effect for bio, plasma and nukes? Or is it a bug that happens only on my computer?
machineguns shouldn't be snipers. bullets irl are a shorter range weapon that canons because of the spread. that's why you get tanks with cannons and not gattling guns.
And that 1 mine damaged the CV enough that it went from full health to dieing in 1 hit from a homing missile. BTW, why did you plant a mine next to the CV in a game of tank wars? I noticed... I asked the uber-dev whether he removed them on purpose or not and did not get an answer...
DIZZYONE MAY I SUGGEST ONE THING? Of course I can, this is a forum. So you did these changes for the HE MG: -Modified: HE MG increased damage (10 -> 12), increased cycle time (0.3 -> 0.5), decreased spread (0.02 -> 0.01), and decreased heat to target (0.25 -> 0.1) I would have done these: -Modified: HE MG decreased damage (10 -> 9), increased spread (0.02 -> 0.025-0.035), and decreased heat to target (0.25 -> 0.1) How that sounds? And HE MG isn't good against buildings. I have noticed it and you simply can't take a single building only at your HE MG because it just doesn't do enough damage before you get blown up. It takes at least 4 clips to do at least some sort of damage to any building. Also I noticed the HE MG isn't that great against infantry because you need to get quite many shots to a guy to take him down. HE MG is only good against vehicles and level 1 turrets right outside their firing range (MLs) and even that takes some time before you have taken one turret down because of the bigger spread over distance. I think downgrading the damage MAX. to 8 and increasing the spread a little bit would solve a lot of this sniping issue with HE MG. Now it isn't even worth to get because you shot twice in one second and that's almost like a small caliber CANNON not a MG.
should make it so you cant spam it to the same person, but can atleast say it immidiatly once to every single player, instead of having to wait 5 seconds to be able to invite someone else.

I have to type 'endmovie' before demo finished in order to take a movie. console commands to convert from demo to movie: (suppose you have demo file 'demo1') sv_cheats 1 host_framerate 30 startmovie movie <- file name of the movie file playdemo demo1 (loading demo...) cl_drawhud 0 <- clear hud (or after 30~60sec, get crashed) or endmovie if i find this bug only produced in the empires mod, i will post it in bug tracker. we need to test this mod in demo playing and startmovie/endmovie too?
What we need is a system that allows us to shoot bullets straight into teh air, and have them come back down somewhere on the map. Can you say "the whole team is heavy MG rifleman mowtar squads"?
I used this a lot in making the trailer, and never experienced a crash. Nice video though, shame you kept getting killed so soon :beaten_nf:
