Less smoke plox. Not because of FPS, but because it's a disadvantage when you can't see shit. Or at least make the smoke more see-through, thinner or some shit. See smoke grenade for reference.
Shut up, it's fine. I haven't had a single situation where smoke has hindered my vision. Go mess with your rax textures or somethin.
I haven't had a single situation where it hasn't hindered my vision. Every weapon spews up a plume of completely opaque smoke which blocks your vision for 2-3 seconds.
Trix I don't really think that's a good argument. It's a disadvantage when the cliffs obscure your view, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea to make all the map textures transparent just because someone else might be doing that because they are sploitfags and cannot play. On the subject of fixes I still think nukes might be a bit too complex, while they aren't often used, when they are used it tends to be on every tank, so they will be spammed a lot. Less duration and reduced complexity may help FPS, you could probably also cut a few of the numbers down in the arty effects and not lose the overall look.
You have to play more, nukes are always researched, no matter what. I think It might be the particle that made people research them more, but I haven't played a game yet that was after 2.25 where nukes weren't research/considered.
seismic should be a more dirt-y explosion because the connotations of electricity damaging buildings doesn't carry as well as making what's the equivalent of a portable earthquake hurting a building. also 1.5 seconds is a really long time for smoke effects lasting. that's like musket smoke in the battle grounds 2, where it's a part of the gameplay to become a blind ninja whenever you fired your gun.
Assume for a second that most games do not reach heavy tanks with multiple guns? Which in my experience they don't. I presume not everybody you have ever played with always goes straight for nukes no matter what?
But when they do, they shouldn't turn into laggfeasts should they? Streetsofffire + slaughtered = always nuke.
Seismic, try a yellow lightning across the ground. That or take the motion blur effect and add it to the ground. I have motion blur off thoguh because its annoying. Disable smoke nades on district or fix them. More often than not I am running across a clear field and bam can't see shit captain. They only seem the block the field of view for the person on top of the nade rather than near it. Would the bio mg have like a green glow effect on the armor it is eating? That would be cool. Not obnoxiously green, but say replace the bullet hole with a green glob. I can see it now, all dark map only apcs and its like fucking neon paintball. My only suggestion would be an option to turn down the brightness on the repair tool. I am not cool with flash banging myself every time I want to repair/build.
Err, no they shouldn't. Which is why I suggested trying to tone them down somewhat. It helps if you read the whole thread.
Seriously, play the game, they don't exactly get it as their only weapon of course, they always get homing or ranged or something, People aren't stupid, but nukes are always researched at endgame unless if the team has bad economy/map control.
Hes not open to constructive criticism so nothings going to get better and people will still hate him and bitch about it.
