Nukes on Escort

    Now that there are no nukes, the NF seems to have a pretty easy job at holding onto the last flag. Is this the way escort should remain or should nukes be put back in?

    Nukes were just plain annoying; the equivulent but tolrable version of that is a 2 HE heavy...

    Ive seen games won without the use of nukes...

    They are simply no fun... To spawn and die; spawn and die...

    Again the dual HE does the same job; but the tank has to actualy be under fire in order to do some damage; a good BE team can "Escort" their dual HE tank and protect it from others; while a nuke tank pops in and pops out; and enjoys the highest kill whoring in the entire team...

    My answer: Strong NO; leave nukes out

    Raising the skybox would help. ATM I can only really hit a few places with arty haven't tried everything though with arty though so maybe I'm missing a few places.

    Oh yeah and I forgot about arty; they can hit quite a few places on the last flag; and they kept most of our turrets down; so we had to run like chickens with our heads cut off repairing everything; if we had any less teamwork BE would have won

    Howabout a middle ground solution. BE get nukes after they cap every flag but the last? That way BE aren't too overpowered, and the NF have to work together at the end.

    I didnt mind the nukes after squad skills were put in.. they were mainly used by noobs tho.. and BE can win still but you need a team of vets working together while NF can lightweight be all lone wolfs and still win

    I actually hated the nukes more when i was on BE because they would waste all our res

    I'd have to say keep them out. Or add more alternative passages for the NF to get out of spawns.

    I kinda like the heavy to be in a direct LOS to get a shot off though. Evens the playing field a lot.

    When it's 6 vs 6, nuke tanks completely unbalance gameplay. However, when it's 10 vs 10 or something, nuke tanks really aren't that problematic. Kylegar's idea seems good though :p

    I am still against nuke tanks, simply because if the driver is somewhat experienced you have an entire team of people dying constanty, not enjoying themselves.

    It's true that the last flag is too easy to defend. However if there is one place where nukes wouldn't help very much, it would be the last flag anyway. You have the middle area, you have the top of the cliffs left, and top of the cliffs right. Having nukes would make capping other flags even more easy, but would only for a small part help with the last flag. Why make 90% of the map worse, for a little improvement in one small part?

    I think the last flag should simply be more easy to cap, since currently it's the only place that isn't balanced imo. Having a door instead of a window at that bunker building at the flag (which is usually crowded by BE infantry) would improve things very well i think, ... or a sideway that leads to the area between the flag and the gate indicating the end of the map, instead of right at the flag.

    This is the very reason why the map was made relativley "arty Proof" because they would kill the entire team over and over again; and that is not fun...

    Now if a team has to use a cheap tactic that does nothing but pisses the other team off; thats a sad state of affairs...

    Well, not really...

    If BE captured all the flags at early game, then they'd win too fast. The last flag is all clumped up so 1 nuke will kill the whole team. Too easy.

    If it's BE that can't win, why not just disable sticky nades so tanks last longer?

    Re-add the second exit to the last flag. The bit where only infantry can go. I often see a lot of BE in there but can't get to the flag without going through the vehicle entrance.

    Ya I kinda miss the last exit at the flag there but, I was always scared a damn scout would come through there and ninja the flag. I wish the scout couldn't hide within range of a flag.

    Btw... is it possible to place two spawn points at the last flag? one on both sides of the bridge?

    the solution is not to add nukes, the solution is to make the last flag easier to access.

    I agree, but dont make it too easy for BE to get onto the cliff tops.
