As some of you may already know, there are plans to start from scratch (somewhat) with the wiki and move it to a new host (dizzyone). Articles of a high quality and/or usefulness from the current wiki will be copied into the new one, however, I want the new wiki to have a higher standard of content. The current wiki is full of orphaned/useless pages, bad layouts, terrible spelling/grammar and general awfulness, not to mention that registrations were disabled due to a crappy captcha plugin, and MediaWiki was horribly outdated. Once the new wiki is ready, we will be redirecting the current wiki domain to the new one (at http://raegquit.com/wiki), but until then, we need help in getting the new wiki up to scratch. Any help would be appreciated, but once again, please make an effort to ensure we have a nice, clean, readable wiki for all.
i agree some pages are horribly outdated and some formats and sortings of pages are just weird but nothing that can be fixed, is this really the best solution?
Don't fuck up the new one, I'll cut you. Also, ukgamer you should import the SQL DB from your 2 day test one. EDIT: Nvm, I'll just readd all that shit.
We should implement some sort of template for each type of page. I don't mean a wiki template, I mean the way the information should be displayed. btw, that new wiki of yours is incredibly slow, what gives?
Dizzyone told me that his provider is currently moving servers around, the slowness should clear up at some point.
I added a list of C++ classes that are at least partially bound in Lua. http://raegquit.com/wiki/index.php?title=Lua What has to be done: - global functions added - member functions/data added - examples of using Lua ie. creating entites, creating Lua entity classes and registering client commands handled in Lua code - classes sorted by name - more C++ bound especially on the client (a lot of it can be shared)
So... are we just going to copy over all the current wiki stuff or is something actually going to change?
Relevant Necro Alert: so... did you guys give up on this? Im looking at it and its not looking so great. looking at the recent change log only shows people signing up(bots?).
