If I have anything to do with it, it'll be made clientside, and non-collidable :p If you want lag, I could make it server side, fully collidable even with itself, and never fades out. That would be silly though :p
I want tank carcusses to last forever, and they can either be blown up, which takes forever, or they can be deconstructed, which is quick. that would be awesome :D they would also dissapear when the server gets to it's "carcus" limit, then the old ones would start to dissappear the only problem i see is that sometimes you can get stuck inside vehicle carcusses. but this could be solved by having the carcuss kill you if it lands on you, or by haveing a sort of one way system where you are pushed out of the vehicle when it first dies and not allowed to re-enter.
But why would Krenzo make the smoke serverside? That just seems like a bad idea on so many different levels.
That was a feature I proposed but have not implemented. Concussion grenades disable turrets for about 5 seconds.
