standard mg chain gun medium chain gun .50 medium mg .50 heavy mg These are the reasons why vehicles beat infantry so easily. I suggest the following changes: standard mg damage decreased to 15 chain gun spread increased to .04, weight decreased to 50 medium chain gun spread increased to .035 .50 medium mg clip size reduced to 35 .50 heavy mg clip size reduced to 50
I would counter with the assertion that the reason vehicles beat infantry so easily is that they are bigger, faster, immune to 80% of all infantry weapons, and can take many hits from or outright dodge those weapons it isn't immune to. The reason vehicles beat infantry so easily is in fact, because they are better.
35 .50 cal bullets is enough to kill 2 infantry if you hit with 1/7 of them. Perhaps infantry healing would also need to be weakened by making it take more calculator charge.
I'm pretty sure vehicle machine guns are fucking useless the real weapon of choice for every tank driver is the roadkill weapon
Don't change them. A tank with MG or CG has already a disadvantage against other tanks. So I normally choose an anti infantry or anti tank setup.
Yup, they are OP.. And they give the armor to take more MG fire to the rifleman and not the gren.... I've seen and been an apc many times holding off whole squads alone with 50 cal. I just point and click watch them instantly die and then when I need to reload I drive back 5 feet to cover and heal while its reloading. And the standard CG is too good aswell. But the riflemen have lazers too, so I guess its the same. I just think grens needed that armor more than the rifleman so we can actually kill them.
but we're talking about infantry vs tanks here, not tanks vs tanks also scout is worthless - stuns might be nice, but you're never gonna get one on the tank, nor will there be additional ammos/extra teammates nearby rifleman is worthless - see scout grenadier is worthless - rpg is so wimpy meleeing the tank is the best choice engineer is worthless - ml turret? that's hilarious, and deconning the tank is humiliating, but not possible
Not if all paths to him are walled off. And I've seen that and a rifleman with sticky nades camp with the apc. I've said it before an apc and one rifleman held off two squads on coast. The rifleman stickied each tank that pulled up near the apc to the walls and if they tried to decon he would death lazer them with his rifle. The apc had a big rock to hide behind too and when we finally killed the rifleman and walls he just ran back to his base where they had turrets and heavy tanks waiting for us.
Personally, I'm not very fond of this idea. I don't even bother mucking about with MGs on most of my vehicles unless it's a special purpose MG (DU, HE, Bio, etc.) or if I need to make an APC with Med CG or .50 Cal as a mobile turret to defend an area manually (only temporarily). I kill more infantry by running them over than I do with vehicle MGs.
I think you would be surprised at how much they rape. 50 cal is literally point click dead. CG makes sticky nades and RPG's only a thing of luck. And if you are in an APC holding off choke point its not like your going to be there alone.. Your gonna have infantry and tanks supporting you too. The fact is 50 cal or CG's make infantry useless.. And when you hold those choke points you make the opposing team broke so they can't send anything but maybe a tank here or there and all infantry which just get mowed down..
-Make .50cal MG have 70 bullets. Each shot does 40 damage, 30 to each rofle. -Make HMG have 150 bullets, way 105units, and do 49damage/shot, 40 to each rofle. -Make a ratio for this in MedCG and CG. -StdMG weighs 35Lbs, (enough to get rid of light tank + full armor +cn,ml,mg). -StdMG does 25dmg/shot. -StdMG takes 4 seconds to reload (currently 1-2).
