Also mines because unless I'm an idiot there's no way to defuse them, all you can do is go grenadier and be immune to them, but it doesn't actually get rid of them.
You can press E on them as Grenadier with defusal, which will defuse them. Or you can drive a tank slowly over them, and then repair your tank, repeat until all mines are gone. Stay moving and Mortars are easy to avoid.
HAHAHAHAHA escort is hardly representative of an Empires map. And everyone has played escort at least 200 or 300 times.
Nf has to mortar spam to win on this map, no way around that. Get your own grenadiers, spam grenades, stop camping around boxes. You stop while figihting a gren, you already lost.
Unfortunately, your example doesn't hold on any other map other than district, or maybe crossroads. And there isn't that much mortarspam in escort. It takes practically a direct hit from the mortar to kill someone at full health anyways; it's the riflewhores you have to watch out for if you're playing on BE (unless you're driving a tank, in which case, it's 9 mines). If you're playing on NF, it's apc grenades.
