Better than what you can get in The Commonwealth; that's all that matters to me. And don't worry, Google is coming to grant us the gift of cheap fiber-optic networking. I don't care if they want my personal data, not like I was going to do anything with it, as long as I get dem gigabits.
20gb take about 30mins to download (~75mbit, 2nd smallest package of my isp), i just did the other day
http://www.tu.no/it/2013/10/07/superbredband-til-alle If my new government doesn't back out like a bunch of pussies, 100mbps for everyone is around the corner to compete with Sweden. 3 / 3 is super great when there are up to 6 people sharing the same connection at times. Oh boy.
I had 120mbps in Netherlands 3 years ago. It breaks my heart to be in the UK with a 6 mbps connection that has barely broken 3mbps for the past 2 weeks, with constant ping spikes. I fucking hate living rurally. And even if I didn't, the internet in cities is still peasant tier compared to the rest of the civilised world.
I get 10mbits on a fairly standard virgin connection. It might be 20 now though, since it was supposed to double some time back. To be honest, that's more than I've ever needed. If I have to wait, that just reminds me that some things in life you have to wait for.
Could be better.....but since I live in a small town I can't get F.O. It will be about 5 years until they run them this far into the middle of nowhere.so till then I am stuck with 60/8 Unless I switch to a business connection then its 60/15 for $60
