The Insurgency developers are releasing Insurgency Beta 2 on the 21st November 2007! It's a free Half-Life 2 mod. I recommend you try it http://www.insmod.net
Must... Resist.... vitriolic flames!!!!! /Lobster engages the sides of his keyboard in a death-grip to avoid typing anything.
TRAITORS!!! na jking, insurgency is good, empires better insurgency is good, empires better" insurgency is good, empires better" insurgency is good, empires better" <rocks back and forth>
and im sorry, but that just doesn't make sense. IT'S IN THE FUTURE!! How do you know what's realistic in the future?!
buuuuuuh! ok maybe I will try again..... but without vehicles it just doesnt have what it needs to get the right feeling. Insurgents should only have pickuptrucks and the other side hummer/bradley/M1A1... maybe apache and uhmmm airstrikes...... nightvision and maybe arty firesupport.... and unmaned drones.
It is SO hard to nail the left and right footpads at once; just to build a lvl 1 turret! Those engineers must have to be really in shape to build whole bases, they have to dance up a storm.
While disliking the setting of the game, it's not bad all in all. Only problem is, after a while the repetitiveness sets in and the fact that it's almost impossible on some maps to do anything unless you've set up shop and are watching an area to death. At least hits aren't as random as css reg
I'm not ripping ANYTHING to shreds- I've never even played it. I'm just operating under the assumption that the hl2 mod community is a zero-sum game, and therefore there is direct competition for players amongst all the mods. Therefore, a post like this with no objective other then to steal our mod's base is tantamount to spamvertising. If someone could demonstrate that this isn't a zero-sum game, I'd be grateful.
