HP Pro Slate 12 Qualcomm Snapdragon 2GB Memory 32GB 12.3" Touchscreen TabletAndroid 4.4 (KitKat)

The specs look impressive(if you don't count the ppi). The price is just in the "tad high" range for tablets at around $600.

Looking to get it to read/watch movies(netflix/hulu)/play games on. Thoughts/comments/Suggestions on better tablets.

Minimum wants: 2gb ram, 32gb space, sd expansion, and at least N wifi

Android tablets are generally pretty bad.

It might sound crazy, but I would just pick up an iPad. It might not have all of the nerdy bullshit that we might think we crave, but it'll do basic media consumption in a ridiculously smooth manner.

1600x1200 and 163 PPIā€¦ that seems far too low for a tablet priced that high.

If you want a regular tablet and don't mind iOS, I'd recommend a 64 GB iPad Air 2 for the same price. (You'll give up SD but you get double the built-in storage.) Otherwise, maybe a Surface Pro.

Sorry no, IOS is terrible for media consumption if you don't get it through iTunes. Getting stuff on and off your tablet is much less a hassle with Android.

We're talking about Viroman, who said he consumes stuff on Netflix & Hulu.

So it's just about polish & general usability. The iPad is tough to beat in that arena.

Two apps that are identical on both platfoms. Sure is unbeatable.

Identical or not I would always choose the non-apple product.

But think of how good all those Apple products would integrate with your $2000 golden Apple Watch!

convertibles... meh. I did look around they just... meh. I mean... now that I have looked around a bit, I am thinking android only tablet is the way to go.

I have used an android tablet, a fucking piece of shit ipad(1), and a windows 8.1 laptop with touchscreen(fucking WORST time using a computing device EVER! Fucking format that shit and put windows 7 on it is what I told my retarded sister). Of the choices... Android OS was the top dog. Sure you could say different hardware and so on.. but, in down right usability Android takes the crown in my eyes.

Of the android type devices... Samsung Galaxy Note Pro - 12.2 seems to shine the most to me atm.

So instead of the Note I am picking up the tab. I decided I didn't need the pen and shit. Spent the 100+ I saved on getting a keyboard attachment to put on it. :) Will pick it up at fry's in a day or so. Sure I could have saved 100$ more by shopping at tiger direct but, seriously packages left at doors around here disappear pretty damn fast, I need to go to a brick and mortar store to pick expensive shit up.

I fucking love this thing. No more eye strain before falling asleep by reading books on a cell phone. Watching a video clip/movie before bed WHILE in bed... kinda awesome. Gaming while in bed... mind blown. I can finally stop doing it the hard way...
