I think I realized the problem. You don't know what the niche.. the whole... "cool thing about empires" you don't know what it is. Its the goddamned vehicles. the goddamned buildings, the turrets, the armories. its the ability of infantry to support blowing up those vehicles and buildings and turrets and armories... yes that CAN be fun... sometimes... but you know whats more fun? why I actually play empires? so play driving a tank.. or even driving a jeep. If I wanna go play first person shooter and you know be like counterstrike ource, I'll go play that.... if I wanna jump into a tank...or a artillery or a jeep... I play empires... ? does this make sense? don't worry, if valve/steam gets ahold of it and it turns profit, they will ruin it there own way I'm sure.
ove: ove: fps shooter /infantry type games are a dime a dozen... the devs have done a great job in getting the EfX levels up and honestly... on par if not total eagle land. so idk, just ranting from lack of resources for said buildings and tanks. I guess this is my wish, and it will remain my wish...(dramatic exit)
I thought the niche/cool feature was spectator chat. As Candles put it the other day - "It's like Teamspeak except you can fly."
All I know is you're ranting. Your post is fairly unintelligible to me, so I basically have no idea what you think the niche is.
The niche thing is the joy of nobody being on to play then being able to get a game going with a few people - which is then dashed as said people then quit.
