i left a2k a week or so ago. im starting to get bored by empires so untill theres an update to something more significant im going to be idle. See you around.

well it has gotten pretty stale. I know it's a beta and all, it's not supposed to be polished but the rought edges really put a dampner on playing for me =/ Can I ask how much people play empires in a week?
You don't explain the joke. extenuating circumstances where you may explain the joke are when the explaination constitutes another joke.

I haven't even launched empires in a week myself. I'm actually sick of the crashing and playing w/ that noob emp_recruit.
Some people are crazy over empires, they play for 4-6 hours in one server. For me, I'd get my fill much before then. Can't see how someone could play this for so long .
i could play the game longer if it was more refined but the community skill level/knowledge level is too low to really enjoy it. Beating up fat kids is only fun for so long.
I agree, that's pretty much the reason why I don't play much (as if anyone cared ), I just get the impression that the majority of the players have next to no clue on what they're doing, (Same goes for Hidden Source, killing so many peeps that claim they can't even see 617 gets old really fast :D )so yeah the fun factor isn't as high up as it should be .
You people do realize that in 3 years, after this mod has gone commercial and is supported by the Counter-Strike Collective's dollars, that you're going to look back and remember this time fondly as "the good old days"?
going commercial would be a really stupid move. You are owned by the company and you don't get as much money as you think you should get and you don't get as much free reign as you do as a total 3rd party.
Well, actually, if they released on Steam, a lot of those problems would be alleviated. That was a big point behind it.
some server admins just need to delete the ctf-maps (district&escort) and the game should become fine again - (because these maps destroying the empires gameplay style, if i want to play ctf i stick with unreal tournament)
I'm taking an involuntary break as well. Staying near school and working this summer, but where I'm living only has dialup. No net gaming for me
