Giving scouts and maybe other guns new bullets

    Scouts gets a bio type of bullet that is weaker than tank bios, the damage rate is 1 damage per second up to 10 seconds. Bio shots do not inflict damage and can also do minor splash damage if shot at the ground or target, 1ft near any infantries.

    Bio shots will have to be researched in the Bio category and scouts equip it over the usual sniper rifle with a different name, although the gun model will be the same.

    Bullets can be loaded in 1/5 rounds, so with ammo boost it is doubled.

    Since these bullets are very harmful, you have to load it manually by 1 (reload) each time. The reason you can't have more than 1 round in a clip is that it can be overpowered and these bullets are special.

    Loading would be like carbine rifle style

    I believe infantry level Bio has been shot down.

    1. The sniper rifle is being removed
    2. Why would you want a weapon that only does 10 dmg or less per shot?

    For now, at least, isn't it just having the scope broken off?

    Anyway, either way I don't think infantry bio is a good idea. I mean, everything else aside, what does this have to do with a 'scout?'

    If infantry bio weapons were added, I think it would make more sense to have them be grenadies and give them to riflemen as an alternative sort of sticky. It makes sense; riflemen already have a short-range anti-tank weapon, so another one wouldn't be a big deal. And having it also work well on infantry (but not amazingly well, since it's short range) would improve their versitility a bit, making it worth getting.

    Well, not really. Honestly, people aren't going to research things like that unless it gives them a huge bonus against tanks, which none of these suggestions do... but maybe as part of some existing bio research item...

    Really, though, it's not necessary and wouldn't add too much. I'm just idly speculating about how it could work.

    The scout is having a full revamp. It's being torn down and put back together from scratch. That could mean a scopeless rifle, or it could mean some other kind of SMG.

    Since the scout pretty much only goes in close range to sab stuff, why not a shotgun-ish type weapon? maby the engineer could use it too, hes not supposed to be a front line soldier.

    Before you say its been shot down, show me in-game test resaults.

    But you unhide when you reload. So you got 2 shots or a clip with the SMGs. Then you're fucked [if there are turrets]

    That PROBABLY using slug or dart rounds, not actual shot. Since the shotgun will probably do a high smount of dmg, itll have 3-4 rounds, if its weaker, up to 8 shells. It wouldnt be completely silenced, just much quieter (like how silencers really work...) than a normal shot.

    I meant 2 shots, like the shotgun pistol but more damage.

    8 Shots is insane man, that's 8 guys you can kill without decloaking,

    I WANT A K98 PLEASE.

    How about an automatic sniper rifle that does about the damage of smg2 and the recoil of what an smg3 would have (And by that I mean more recoil than the SMG2)? For those of you who play DOD I'm thinking about a FG-42 with a scope on it. 2x vision, about 15 rounds with a high ROF, slow reload time, moderate-high recoil when scoped so people can't prone whore, and more of a shake (I mean like the scope moving) while you're proned, crouched, or standing so its harder to aim (but remember, it keeps the gun balanced because you can fire SMG2 damage bullets scoped or unscoped, and if its scoped people will easily whore kills, unless we put on the heavy-recoil while scoped and the moving scope). This keeps the scout a possible long range killer (2 shots to head will kill I think) while it keeps the scout's effectiveness on the front lines. And then with that take away the SMG2 and SMG1 on the scout.

    I don't like the bio bullet idea. It makes the game more complicated to new players as it already is. Honestly, people keep asking me how to get ammoz.

    Its not a sniper rifle, its an automatic weapon with a scope :pathetic:

    And seriously, attacking without unhiding is a terrible idea, and it always will be.
