mortar, rpg (people, not tanks), smg2, and i have a fondness for the pistol1 aswell. using it brings fond memories of 2.12 pistol sniping
I would never joke with a weapon used by cowards. Standing pose, accuracy and recoil are terrible, but once you crouch or prone you are a god damn sniper machine gunner with that thing. TBH, it is not OP at all, it is great for entrenching but offensive-wise it lacks mobility, any class can take out a rifleman with HMG since they rely a lot on the crouching mechanic... although you can get close-up on enemies (melee-range to close-range) and take them out really easy by just vaguely aiming at their direction and holding down the fire-button for about 1-2 seconds, I have encountered Jane doing that sort of thing in emp_district and it was as threatening as a shotgun/SMG/rifle, it still leaves you really vulnerable if you run out of ammo with your magazin though. ----- Back on-topic, Mortar/RPG is my love, most useful weapon.
nf rpg against infantry - though i still think the old aim was better since it required a bit of skill and not only a decent ping to hit (and hitting non-stationary infantry at distance was more or less impossible anyway, pure luck) btw - did the be one get the shield removed now?
i dont see the fallacy, you are better off use your RPG in some situations but the shield obstructing your view got you killed easily ... ... also firing rpgs at infantry is the last remainder of gren being a skill class which has nothing to do with the mortar. mortar is a matter of experience.
Did you ever play as BE Grenadier in your playtime, DDD? Because last time I checked the shield only applied to the RPG, not the mortar. By more fun I meant RPG-sniping which was horrible with the BE RPG because your sight was hindered severely. NF Grenadier never had that problem because of no shield.
Oh i know, Im baffled by that with having your com get both HE and Ranged, youd take potshots at infantry in exchange for 5-4 plates
Mortar class. And I apologise for not thinking of RPG-sniping, it's not the kind of fun I enjoy most of the time.
I'd love a tank with two three slot MGs. SHITTY IDEA TIME At beginning of every round commander chooses which "race" to be. NF, BE, or NRTIDMAGAF (New Race That I Didn't Make A Good Acronym For). NRTIDMAGAF's heavy tanks have two three slotted machine guns.
Nigga u cray. If you have a tank with 2 3-slot mgs, at least one 2-slot cannon and one 2-slot ml with a weight limit anywhere near the weight limit of current heavies, then you have a death machine. Du hmg has the dps of 2.6.2 rails with the weight of std cannon and cooling requirements somewhere around er cannon. It's not even close to being balanced for any tank-like vehicle.
