Hope you don't backstab your flock like Garry did, he said it'll always be free, forever, untill they tossed some change his way.
I've never said Empires will always be free. How will I be able to support paying for all the servers needed for Empires The MMORPG with battles taking place all over the Brenodi Empire?
Well, that's not exactly a fair take on it. He was about to abandon Gmod. The next release was going to patch up everything he could find, and that would be it. This way, not only does Gmod live on, but Garry gets direct access to the Source engine source code. That means that he will be able to pull off a whole bunch of shit that he could only dream of before. Frankly, it's not a matter of paying for something that was going to be released for free, it's a matter of paying for something that otherwise would have not been released at all. The poor guy abandoned it because there wasn't a lot more he could do and because it wasn't paying the bills; those two things are now solved.
Nothing else in life even matters. RTS + FPS + MMO = Any money I get my hands on for the next 3 years. To get MMO: 1. Have faith. 2. Do not doubt. 3. Donate. 4. ????? 5. Profit!
1. Have faith. 2. Do not doubt. 3. Donate. 4. Flying whales. 5. Blimbs. 6. Profit! Or alternatively: 1. Steal underwear. 3. PROFIT!!!!!
Steal Krenzo's underwear and sell it on ebay = money for source code? I'm not saying it's not gross or by any means ethical, but...think about the bling!
It floors me like nothing else that the FA team simply had their mod stolen from them. Really makes me wonder why the FA2 dev team didn't simply rename their damn game, as I for one will never play FA2 if only because of this incident.
Immature children thinking that modmakers are somehow obligated to cranking out work for them is what they are. I honestly don't expect FA2 to get very far. I've seen better mods torn apart by infighting. Shit like this, Nuclear Dawn, and "The Atharon Conspiracy" are going to drive me to drinking. Or, if not that, more scrapped-together malcontent editorials.
http://ndnuked.blogspot.com/ Plus, i guess one of the devs has been using really aggressive pr tactics.
