Until someone "fixes" the ability to fire when just barely not-overheated, dual HE regen/biodiesel heavy tanks will be the premier end game research for BE.
Oh, devs don't want to "fix" it. I pointed this out a while ago and they don't seem to take it as a bug.
It's been pointed out many times, and I while I personally like to exploit this, it does make biodiesel much better than advanced coolant for BE.
Fission beats bio for nukes because if you never stop a nuke doesn't even slow you down to how slow bio moves in the first place, and you won't have any heat by the time you're ready to fire again.
Does heat accumulate past 100? If heat would be allowed to accumulate past 100, that could fix the issue. Overheat would just be extended until the extra heat was dissipated. But that took me like two seconds to think up. I'm sure someone has thought of it already.
First time I played the new version I was playing while drunked and my Jeep over heated. I sat staring at my screen trying to figure out what the fuck happened.
The truth is revealed, Trickster nerfed the jeeps once again by giving them heat while driving, making the jeepers less of a threat. --- Well, that's advanced heat engine for you. We need more suggestions like this so Trickster can add them. Next suggestion: Make bio engine, bio the tank itself!
Does Biodiesel negate this issue and does Fission delay it? I must admit, I really like the idea of adding some strategic depth to jeep usage.
Well, I just checked that and yes, you can't overheat but since it can heat your engine up to 80%... Let's just say any bullet that hits the jeep will make it overheat. *clapclap* I love me some jeeps with slowpoke advanced heater. Gotta rage on commander if he research dat shit.
Well, afaik, scout sticky stuns do something similar, because they keep tanks overheated much longer than a regular overheat, but I can't be 100% sure about that.
