Spartacus is done handling scripts; I'm going to be dealing with them from here on out. In a few weeks, I'll be reverting to 2.51 or so, while incorporating some of the changes made over the past 6 months. It should be a fairly smooth transition, but such a massive change might cause some issues do to changes in the code, so I hope you all will be patient with me.
I'm kinda amazed, with all the crap you've been getting I thought you would have given up on us quite a bit sooner. Congratulations for dealing with our massive amount of whining for so long.
what a pity. empires has not seen so much change since its creation. i hope it wasnt a complete waste, conclusions have been drawn and lessons learned. thanks spartacus also which version is 2.51?
Change is good, but changing for the sakes of changing isnt. I'm so glad spartacus stepped down. He had some major character flaws to actually be a dev. Unlike candles. I fucking love candles.
That's unfortunate. I didn't think too many of the scripts were working out...but I had hoped Spartacus would more adapt to the feedback than step down entirely. I kind of liked how on top of things he was. Ah well.
It's the version right before spartacus started working on scripts. I personally see no harm starting from 2.52, all changes there were simple improvements over 2.51. It's 2.52.1 that really changed a lot of the game. Still, I really don't think a lot of changes were bad, it just had a couple of extremes that didn't really work out right which made the whole package seem bad. Oh I wanted to ask, are we keeping empty's infantry scripts?
I kinda feel bad that spartacus got bully but it's still for the better. What will happen to Spoike scripts
like candles said, spartacus had some good changes that were overshadowed by really bad ones so hopefully the good changes will be kept
