Hey everybody, first my name is martin and i'm french,so sorry for my bad english :)
empires is my favorite game ever, i played on my old pc but after a update my pc did'nt support direct X9.
now i have a macbook pro, and with steam on mac on halflife 2 on mac i thought empires will work because it's a mod, but on steam it say it's only for windows:headshot:

PLZ i love so much your game, i play since younger version ( when building didn't have interior texture :p ).
And i'm sure, there is a solution to play on a mac.
thx a lot for all you doing.

Yeah, some graphics issue which got fixed later on by Nvidia or something. Siro knows, and I think Bitchslap does now.

Won't happen there's no source code for engine in version that supports Mac.

Yeah but it can work with Wine on Linux, maybe it'll work on Mac. Native support is out of the question of course.

doesnt apple use x64 type cpus now? what about dualboot or is that impossible?

but another question i have to ask OP, and it really isnt meant offensive, why in the world would you get a mac if you play videogames too?
apart from that apple is overpriced and even more proprietary then microsoft ...

well if you can hold out they are completely porting L4D2 into linux without wine binaries. So once thats finish we might be able to work up some empires stuff for linux.

Unlikely given that L4D2 isn't even on the same engine as Empires.

Non. HL2 est Source 2009, mais Empires est Source 2007. Pour un gratuit modification, seulement Source 2007.

look at controls in the menu. maybe you can find the command there and re-bind it to a key.

Yes, you can dual boot Windows on a Mac via Bootcamp, but then you're running Windows natively. I play Empires (and other games) on my Macbook. They use Windows drivers and run exactly like they would run on any other Windows machine.

But like I said, that's trivial. This guy wants to run Empires in OSX.
