You know, it's somehow pretty awesome that the game survived so long, and looks so good, too. I think that's just a testament to it being a great game, and a great vision. Interestingly, those loading screens have flavour text instead of tips. I wonder if any of that lore survived?

I can't find any download link for free BF1942, all the links are dead and the page for it just says the game is discontinued. EA changed their minds maybe?
