ability to use the jeep of the noob i just shot out of it. ram as weapon, damaging enemy vehicles based on the relative velocity towards each other mineflail alá WWII as seen in Company of heroes
oh empty is right, also WMD, boats, turrets on jeeps, moar tanks, moar weapons, infantry upgrades someone else take over the trolling for me cuz i cant think of any the other stupid ideas from the suggestion forums which are not listed here yet.
Wookie: "#1 underground linking tunnels as described by Krenzo (some models are actually in svn)" Can I see a link to what Krenzo said? These sound like a ridiculously good idea - easy to implement and fun/creative. - Wait, can models in source have Brush and or Model Clipping regions? (Anyone familiar with Pandemic's Zero Engine and its Terrain Cutters?)
Tunnels aren't possible, you can't remove chunks of brushes or displacements at runtime, and there is nothing there to place those tunnels in, you'd have to add a large underground section so that the engine can render anything down there, and that can cause all kind of problems.
It used to be on the main page for years when you would look at the info for the mod, the main page also said that you could build turrets on the tops of walls, and aircraft were in the game (and when you spawned one you actually had to go and calc it). Aircraft was one of the main pull factors for me, and the devs said it would be in the next version after I asked (I asked in 2.23). Minecraft is java
Stupid Valve. Shittier engines have been doing that for years. So tunnels would require support added into maps, with potential entrances covered in removable entities scattered throughout the map. Awwww. Or....Or... Portals and Teleports - the engine mechanic not the general concepts. I have seen certain levels of dynamism with those implemented in HL2, but I am not sure if they are runtime dynamic. *Plays Garrysmod* Ok maybe they are.
Fairly sure tunnels were originally planned as a feature of Empires, between all the buildings. There's even a model for it. Not saying it was possible, but it was planned.
NF vehicles and tanks start to have engine trouble if used for long periods of time (ten minutes or more.) I mean after all, they were all pulled out of fucking underground bunkers after being forgotten for however many years. Also, Boats.
Why would I ? It isn't my mod and I like it the way it is. If I didn't I would just play something else.
Minecraft runs on Java, not flash. Although I'm starting to think we'd be better off making empires in Adobe Flash instead of the source engine.
