Empires Health Warning

Today is the second time in the last few months that I have swerved my car (in real life) when driving over a small brown patch of mud - temporarily mistaking it for an NF landmine.

This is not a joke... has seriously happened... twice. Maybe I should get some more sleep.

Any similar stories out there?

I started to have more and more dreams about me playing empires, though its more awesome because I feel like I am actually in the game.

Though I am having this urge to start smacking cameras until they blow up

 

I occasionally get my peripheral vision obscured by what looks like static. Not specifically empires related though.

Back when I was playing NS religously (24/7), whenever I'd go outside IRL, I'd constantly hear the beeping sounds from ingame, like someone stepping on a mine etc. I also used to play The Hidden:Source religously for a year or so. Which got a bit creepy to be honest, a lot of times IRL I'd see some kind of glimmer or whatever and could swear it was the hidden.

Did I mention the dreams? Half of my dreams during my NS times consisted of me raping as a Fade, they were so vivid I actually still remember a dozen of those dreams, and this is what, 7 years ago I stopped playing NS.

Playing a game like it's heroine fucks you up dude, but I guess it's cool, even if someone dies.

 

I once had a dream connected to the Wolfenstein games.

I'm so glad I can honestly say i've never had any dreams or issues with empires.

The only thing I do with empires IRL is think about different mapping aspects I could try out on maps. Most of the sewer design i put in were doodles on a paper making the paths with lines.

 

Dreams about X-Com were the worst:

Try to walk somewhere in the dream... NOT ENOUGH TIME UNITS!

 

you think people are idiots in game for not joining squads, the arguments really start when i politely ask everyone to squad up in rl.

im yet to find a squad...
