empires 2.24

Whilst I was in game the other day we were talking about a 2.24 weekend. Would many of you guys be interested in a 2.24 weekend starting the 25th of may? I will be hosting the server on vipers.

I'm hosting a 2.12 pug (slightly exploitpatched) in the summer at some point (this has been planned for about a year), but 2.24d? Fuck that, the version fucking sucked.

I'd play battlefieldpires instead, but I lost all the files many years ago, host the files and I make you a nice Crashpires server :D

2.24 was okay, but not so special apart from MKIIs and broken MKIITTY in SVN from that time.

 

MKIIs fucking sucked.

 

MKII's are better then mediums ever were and depending on the user better then a heavy.

MKII's were stupid and ridiculously balanced, is what he means.

I mean if you really want to drive around in an overpowered NF light tank, then just go back to a really old version and get a nuke tank. After all, they are awesome... just crap for any kind of fair game. Which was the problem with mkII's.

Unless you're talking about the AFV vs the NF Medium - two oversized whale tanks that it's not so fun to deal with.

 

Any version where it's viable to play anything but murder-machine roflmangs, count me in.

 

awww yeah 2.24d, the best version of empires ever. Guns and wamm-o is playing right? hes been bitching long enough. dual homing salvo, reflective and DU ftw.

Or maybe go back to when you could put 50 plates of armor and more on any tank.

I support the 2.12 and 2.24 pugs. Armored Jeeps:D and MK-II's. Also I would love to get a game on Battlepires, Hillside bases ftw.

2.12 on the other hand, a fuckin' awesome mind boggeling addicting piece of excellency written in raw if ... goto ... and the best part beside the balancing? REAL 9mines with brain blasting force for exploiti*cough* ... more fun
