Perhaps give a nonstatic CV, but you can blow up the blimp for a bunch of resources or the blimp acts as a free Radar for research purposes. It can remain a fast paced map with a major objective, but without the static CV syndrome.
I don't get it, it takes so long for people to cap the flags it is real easy to defend, people just forget that it is a static thing that needs to be taken care of. I mean, it should be harder to end tropico real fast compared to other commander maps.
There are also turrets that you need to rpgsnipe/mortar to death that an engy can just repair, and if your entire force is snipers to pick off engys and grens then they can just bumrush you with rifles.
Then maybe someone contact shandy for the VMFs and recompile a flagless version of the map with CVs on the ground? The work would take probably only 30 seconds, then the usual hour or two of compiling.
Could always just add a map script so the CVs are ungriefed to the ground. As the flags just drop the CV into the water but don't end the round.
