In oragnebox, movers work just fine, the speeds have to be at certain increments to get rid of the jerky motion, those speeds you'll have to play with to find out what they are. I've played on several maps with extremely fast moving platforms that were not jerky at all and were pretty god damn smooth. We'll have to see how these work later
Can someone explain me the gimmicks for this map. -When does the doors to command center in main base open? -How to open/close doors? -How to start the nuke?
Well i hope J can get back to this, i actually liked this map. THe missing NF textures are annoying. -When does the doors to command center in main base open? If you're talking about the doors into the little command center, they open as you get close to them. -How to open/close doors? In the towers toward the center of the map there are two buttons, from what i believe it requires both buttons to be hit at the same time. -How to start the nuke? After the little timmer to the left of the map is full (for NF) or all buttons turn green (for BE) you can use the triggers to change the location of the X marker on the map infront of you and then hit the trigger to launch the nuke at that location.
Err, I have the BSP for the newest version, but that's all I got, and he didn't release it, and I haven't had chance to pack it. I've had it for months. EDIT: Sent to DrummerX, expect a release soon.
Still had the missing texture problem in the NF hallway. Decompiled the map to see what the name of the texture was to find a matching one that would fit but the file name to that texture is CONCRETEWALL15_DARK. You can' thave a name without a preceding / as in /CONCRETEWALL15_DARK. The slash tells the engine that the material is located in the materials folder with out any direction there is no material to load (pink and black checkboard). But on the brightside there are NO visual changes in the new version, just a few changes with the missles i believe so there is no harm in waiting till jimanther returns to us.
so.. which version is the official latest version? 1.2 or 1.f(from steve) <-- the last one has much less missing items.
The latest "official" version will be whatever was in the OP of this thread. But that was broken in the move to Steam, so the working version will be whatever Steve has done.
