    After a long time, I am finally going to update Smokies to RC2.
    What do you guys who remember the map want to suggest.

    I get real images after.

    Due to stupid people disagreeing with my cfg changes.
    YOU CAN CHANGE TANK LIMIT IF IT HURTS YOU SERVER. Leave respawn time at 15 and spawn protection at .5, Same with the resource modifier at 32. If you disagree, don't host the map. Simple as that.

    It needs a couple picnic tables or something. Like a state park sort of feel. or possibly pavillions

    I don't think there needs to be alot of random bullshit added IMO. One thought that comes to mind is perhaps randomizing which team starts at which location, so that 1/2 the games BE is in NW and NF is SE then the other half NF is in the NW and BE is in the SE. I simply say this because this Map is DEFINATLY not symmetrical and this will stop people bitching about say BE always having a location advantage in the NW or w/e or NF Heavys always being at a disadvantage every game comming out of SE or any other random bullshit people might whine about. If the spawns switch every game well then it might still be more advantageous to have a certain side of the map but it wont be the same faction every time. I think this alone could get rid of some static gameplay (EG if BE perhaps has a slight disadvantage from layout and couple that with all noobs just stacking BE cause they think it looks cooler they then might not loose EVERY round)

    Get with silk on how to do that if you feel this idea. He would probably be willing to help.

    Just a thought.

    I may add one tent to break up the landscape some, but no spam.
    The map is nice the way it is.

    I will balance the map before I randomize spawn teams.
    Changing team doesn't balance anything, so why bother doing that.

    turn the hills into cliffs, it looks to much like a smoothed out high map imo :P

    what the hell, that's the single best thing about that map. nobody wants another canyon style map, what's wrong with you?

    don't just make it into another maze type map. we need more duststorms.

    While I agree with Sandbag, I don't think smokies is anything close to a duststorm-esque map. The reason being is that smokies is a huge map, with very little buildable area. This is because it's cluttered to death with mountains and hills. I like the look of the mountains and hills, but if you can widen some areas and provide the teams with more areas on which to build a base, you'll see more variety in the rounds.

    That was my only small "gripe" with smokies... you had like a couple of places where you could build a base and every round was practically the same - very static.

    I look forward to seeing it updated though. Definitely had some fun times on it.

    No, stupid ideaaaaa.

    That was one of the first things I fixed.

    I added a new spot in the East, south of the lake.
    The southwest spot is now bigger so you can fit a base.
    The south-middle area is still easy to build on.
    BE base and the north is a bit easier to build on.

    I am now releasing rc2 as soon as final compile is done.
    Not a joke and it is set for today. What a surprise. Also this should be called the lazy edition as there is no real optimization.

    Also I expect this map to suck due to AFVs being overpowered.

    Taking a tad longer than I want as Desty attempts to reforest the map after I deforested it when I was fixing the hills.

    I finished the process of removing a bit of trees and the only thing left is fixing the model glowing at a distance using draw distances.
    Yay Destoryer is a hero.
