I haven't done much with it since people don't seem to like/understand the concept. I'll probably throw together a skybox and fix the minimap issues for a final release of it though. If I could name the all the map sectors like that, I totally would.
Very good map, but you can you make it up on the minimap that it like says what is elf land etc, cause as a commander your like, uhm they are at the thing that looks like that or what ever.
oh man you can't take the players opinion seriously after 1 test, they hate everything the first time! with a skybox no one will say anything bad about it I bet
workin on it again apart from minimap, texture bug, and skybox, anyone remember anything wrong with the map? i will be redoing some mountains with extra displacements to make them unclimbable but some cliffs will stay climbable i'm also thinking of adding some lava rivers around mordor to make it a bit more secluded
i think generally it played really well, and most places where you wanted buildings to fit had lots of room. seemed all good to me at the time. the variables in the map are what make it super fun, and are also the reason that you shouldnt really concern yourself with balancing, imo how bout lava ponds instead? or have a river come down from the mountain and pool in one of the areas that isn't flat enough for buildings. that reminds me, building placement was tougher in mordor than elsewhere, i think. if you want a second set of eyes for your changes i'd be happy to check it out.
