I'm thinking bigger beach with more holes, more hedgehogs and more tank skeletons. If you're going for the D-Day feel, go all the way. Also, love the concept.
Also, I would put some sort of barrier between the first and second flag (which is disabled once the first flag is capped). Otherwise you might have newbs trying to cap the second flag before the first one.
mmm, hey varbles mayhap we should discuss some joining of projects or something, I've had a very similar idea laid out for months with alot of the basic terrain finished, I havnt had much of a chance to make real progress on it but I'd love to discuss ideas with you if your up for it.
I redid the beach, now its twice as long with dunes and hills to cover people. Also a couple failtank drivers parked their heavies on the hedgehogs for extra cover It will look better in game. There are now dragonsteeth and hedgehogs blocking vehicles to the second flag, and when the first flag is capped they become destructible. Also Keef: sure that might be interesting, and that map looks really nice.
Can't really see the holes from that pic, but if they are there, and if they are deep enough, then that is epic.

Would you be able to add like sandbags and barbed wire onto the hills becasue atm it looks very bare. Also do those arty cannons on the hill fire? or just deco? You could add timed explosions to happen like arty fire (that does dmg ppl) onto the beach. Fog on the beach could work very well for effect and tone down the brightness of the lighting to a more grim bluey gray if u know what i mean. Otherwise its looking brillent These are only suggestions take and leave what u want
I have sandbag models that I'll place but unfortunately the only barbed wire models i found have horrible collision models. The arty tanks are spawned with the awesome new vehicle spawning entities and they have medium cannons to pummel the beach. I have not added fog into the map yet but I will add some and see what it looks like in the next compile.
You could remove the collisions of the wire altogether and just use an infantry hurt brush, so that if you choose to go over it instead of around you lose 50 health or something.
The arty is going to be player-controlled? Huh. It would seem like the arty would be untouchable by the people on the beach, allowing the first people to get to the arty to have a lot of boring free kills.
Wouldn't this be a little hard for BE? Maybe add multiple ships, I see NF camping with HMGs, ML turrets and Grenadiers mortaring the shit out of people.
