I just hope the current government doesn't go through with their plans to remove all subsidies for Master programmes, or the cost of my programme could skyrocket from 1980 euros per year to about 8000 or more. Yeah the Netherlands are a bit of a bitch to study in imo, at least it's better than Belgium (for me), where you first need to learn 800 pages of theory, do an exam, graduate and only then put it all into practice :p Belgium is really cheap and high-quality (JUST TOO MUCH THEORY) though, like 700 euros per year tops for the tuition fee

 

I live in belgium ,,, uni here is pretty awesome. You get 900 euros per year to pay your school books with from the gouvernment, books only cost 600 a semester so you only have to pay 300 euro's , but the biggest problem in Belgium is that we dont have that much high class uni's so you'll have to go to 1 of the 2 major ones we have, and you have to probably live there like a little appartment or something that costs about 300-500 euro's a month. For the rest its pretty awesome

 

Apartments in Belgium cost jack shit, in the Netherlands I paid 425 euro per month for 18m² and I had to share bathroom and kitchen with the owner (it was privately owned). It's really bad in Utrecht though, people pay up to 350 euros for rooms of 7 m² and one girl I know signed up really late and she's stuck with a room of 850 euros per month, fucking extortionate.

Also in Belgium you can get campus cards for trains which give you an 80% discount, over here I only get 40% discount + I can only use it after 9 AM (guess when my lessons start)

 

I'd throw £10 in for the forums, which is probably like 16 dollars or something.

Not a fan of phpBB. I've experienced it quite slow.

 

I've run multiple phpbb3 forums. It's great for small forums, but it isn't appropriate for a large forum like this. Vbulletin is an incredibly robust forum with a million and one features.

I still host the web site, and I have to renew the domain name soon. The Empires forums started on phpBB and were hacked.

 

That's because phpBB/2 were horribly insecure. I couldn't rate the security of phpBB3 absolutely, but it's a lot better than the previous versions.

 

I remember donating for MS:C and Sven-Coop, but I can't remember donating for Empires, even though I think I did.
Might donate something in the near future.
