    There was already a lot of discussion about district. Maybe some numbers help to see the problems and to make it finally an enjoyable map for everyone.

    Result of typical round on district:

    I added my kills, because I prefer imp_rifle2. Without me BE would have done most kills with mortar and grenades.



    Conclusion:
    BE won because of better reviving and more grenade and mortar spam. Should these be the main skills on district?


    My suggestion for district:
    Take emp_district_alt5 and add the new middle building. At district_alt5 new sewers were added and the entries were more accessible. With this the battle will not only happen on main street.
    Camera and ammo boxes should also be disabled like in alt5. Without ammo boxes the grenade spam will be reduced and without cameras it will be more easy to flank and surprise the enemy.

    But add forward spawns. It's retarded to run for 2 mins just to get scunted in the face. And again. And again. District shouldnt be about running.

    If no-one in that game meleed, then it was a shitty game of district. I can go top of the scoreboard using nothing but my fists, so the thought of not a single melee kill in a district game is stupid.

    the best solution would be to remove district from the game ... its a single big clusterf*ck.

    District needs gutters or grates large enough for grenades such that it becomes an exploding deathtrap.

    I think my district with keef's nf backalley and skywalk would be about right...

    Having a map be a single linear corridor is kinda daft tbh.

    Most Empires players can't survive the tactical variety of a map that's more than linear corridors. Optimally, you have a map that is two linear corridors, one of which is rarely used. *cough*slaughtered*cough*

    actually, id love to try out such a map (as classic map) thats why i started working on one ...

    as its with my maps (or actually only one currently) its gonna be the next most hated empires map ;)

    The district with building in the center and crates on the streets is almost perfect. Just get rid of turrets and nades and it should be the final district IMO.

    I actually like new district and fighting in center. It'd better to play at other regions but finally center is playable.

    I only have problems related to code - player collision and animation bug.

    When you design a game to feature wide open spaces and have 40 people fighting throughout that area and then compress it into the size of a map like district, thats where you run into problems. Really the solution is to not play district when you have more than 20 or so people on the server.

    lol when u fire a mortar at the tank near middle on BE side, u can make the shell deflect and veer off course XD.
