make a armor that is really strong for the first plate and then each extra plate makes it weaker until at the sixth plate it's weaker than standard get on this tricker

He heard somewhere that diminishing returns are good for a balanced gameplay and applies his new knowledge in this suggestion.
... ... ... Yes. As for the actual topic I would say this armor, if actually implemented through miracles and other wizardry, would actually be significantly worse than other armors. What leads me to say this? An armor that is stronger the more plates you have will cause your tanks to be effective for a smaller amount of time. If you are damaged it is absolutely necessary with such an armor to get repairs to remain effective. With other armors your armor can be damaged and will maintain strength, and in Regen's case can regain strength without outside help.
I think he means an armor that's more effective early game, like a cheap version of composite, and by the time heavy tanks roll out it ends up being worse than absorbent. Kinda like 100 for first plate then 70, 45, 30, 20, 10 (I don't know how the numbers should be balanced) Although I'm not to sure who would bother with it when mediums roll out like 5 minutes later and most people would rather have regen or reactive. Suddenly i can't remember the last time someone got reflective, I wonder why?
Because there's no reason to be in physics aside from HMG/duMG early game anymore, what with fission being derp. And even when fission was viable, people got fission and then jumped straight to other trees. Reflective just isn't quite reliable as an armor, because it actually somewhat requires the players to DO something to be better. Though I really wish fission wasn't the way it currently is so I could research all over the place and get away with it like I used to.
shouldnt all armor be working like this? i mean - the more you get hit, the less it will protect you. empires simulation just isnt accurate. idk if its a good feature for a single armor though - its actually less retarded than some of you make it sound, or well lets say i read way worse. still undecided with a tendency for "no".
I will fix Fission within 5 minutes of someone helping me fix my SVN install. Not even a joke. It just totally refuses to start (same issue Lawliet had in his thread) and I can't test shit. I will not only fix it in SVN, but I will distribute a server-side fix to VIPER and EPIC server to cover us until the next patch.
This is Franklin we are talking about. Hes studied and has conducted research for over a decade, when he suggests such a thing you best pay attention.
That's what flasche said. We're assuming that the first plate is the plate closest to the hull, and the sixth is the outermost one.
[Heavy tank]|||||(armor) ----(projectile)---->|<-first plate|||||[other tank] We are talking about damage TO the armor here, so hence the outermost is the first plate. It could be argued that it would be reversed had we been talking about vehicle creation. Why are you dodging your fail reply?
I took at as meaning the first plate is the one right on the hull, the last plate is furthest from the tank.
Look up "diminishing returns." As you eat more hamburgers, the benefit from each additional hamburger diminishes as you get full. As you add more plates of armor, the benefits of each additional plate is diminished. You have to have start defining shit in really weird ways to flip it around and still be able to define it as a "return" on something.
Hey, can we tall about the idea itself, rather than discussing pov's , when everyone is talking about the same fucking thing? You are getting your ass pride get the better of you.
