In no real way does this really affect how vehicle warfare works, people have always been careful not to die when they are driving around an expensive tank. Also, it is essentially a fact that there will always be somebody opposed to everything, not matter how great of an idea it is, even this one. I also see no way this can negatively impact fundamental game play, so I think it should be fully incorporated, or at least set as a default on server side preferences.
