It's one of my favourite games, right after the Gran Turismo series, Project Torque and Anarchy Online.
..... hmmm but we already had a far cry 2. Far cry instincts which had super strength and throwing people around just all the power was on ALL the time and also customisable weapons..... so overall there isnt much new in crysis. Also wasnt it another developer on farcry.. or ?? what ? did they lose/sell the name?.
No there was all kinds of crazy shit/powers called Feral this and that and I somewhat remember new vehicles and stuff. http://media.xbox.ign.com/media/621/621324/imgs_1.html (Look under videos the first one that explains it all, completely new game) http://media.xbox.ign.com/media/621/621324/img_3084668.html http://media.xbox.ign.com/media/621/621324/img_3084668.html edit: Seeing that video actually makes me think that was so much more badass than the nano stuff. THis guy just rips HMG turrets of the mounting and use dual SMG and can shoot from moving vehicles and the list goes on....
I found this video interesting: A comparison of Call of Duty 4 and Crysis: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyQTCeobZlg
I liked Crysis... Its a solid shooter thats going to win awards; and not just because of the graphics engine... The final bosses reminded me of the old NES/Super Nintendo bosses which was wierd in a nice way... You can play it any way you want... I had a section where I was just running around Punching guys in the face with maximum strength... Even though the story ended in a cliffhanger that screams sequel, I wasn't pissed I was satisfied with what the game showed me (It also could be because I beat the darn thing in 2 sittings, which should speak for itself to the quality of the game)
Wish my computer could run either of those games. (Even though CoD4 was kinda meh for me. Too much hiding not enough bum rushing :p). I really like the effect in Crysis where you get knocked out in mid air. (2:51 & on) http://www.stage6.com/user/Neillithan/video/1911267/Crysis---Mass-Physics-(High-Quality
sonata: good find. that's nice pope: that is amazing. I'd suggest empires go to the crysis engine but it's probably too late for that.
