Try to see if you can do system restore and restore it to a few days or a week back, it might solve the problem. If you got something like the conficker virus, then you're fucked.
Good news, luckily I had drop box installed on this computer thanks to grant. And with that I sent over a good free anti malware scanner from a laptop to this cpu. Turns out I had 150 virsus floating around my cpu and one of the decided to really fuck shit up. Thanks grant if it weren't for you id be re formatting you saved me a lot of trouble!!!

Its good that you got your computer mostly fixed. But, if you have windows... use a friends/sisters computer and go to this website to download a program that will make you a UBERCOOL BOOT DVD. http://www.ubcd4win.com/ Make sure to bring your windows cd, you need it to make the disk bootable plus it uses your cd to make a windows on dvd that really works. From there you can run all kinds of AV/malware removal programs that come on the dvd. I made a bootable USB stick version of it and it kicks soo much ass.
