That would require coding which I do not know how to do.

I am currently learning how to model. I should have my model posted pretty soon.

the rustiness of the sign itself doesn't contrast well with the clean pole it's standing on.

Wow. Heh, just when I was going to ask exactly what you can do with skins. Texturing covers... well I don't really know. I know what a texture is, but is it simply applying say...a rock texture to someone's hands (if you wanted to make them a rockfist, bad example lol).

If I think about it...do you ever see how the scout's "hide" skill works and think you can do something better with it? I know they just apply transparency to it..but would that work better if you had slightly different skins that were "called" when hidden to a degree?

    Eh...sounds a bit unlikely.

Could you reskin the models of infantry to have visual differences (we have about 2 different models for each team's classes) or is that down to changing the model, not just the skin?

Ikalx, that would requre some heavy modeling along with some coding.

But with skinning, there is an endless possiblity of stuff you can do to make the game better.

( Add better camos, improve color, and texture stuff with good detail )

Hmm...interesting. Yes, it's what I asked for...kinda, lol. Perhaps the blue could be darker or blackish grey. I'm kinda forgetting the scheme I guess.

You didn't use the sample and stretch it, did you? It doesn't look like you did. I guess the main thing is...that's just a random image I came up with when looking for displacement pattern camouflage. Right now, the jeans will look good if they're darker (that's my bad for the colour) but the jacket...yeah it needs to have a bit more imo.

Can you make it so that it occurs multiple times on the jacket to make a mesh-like pattern, instead of being stretched across it? I realise that's kinda time consuming, sorry about that.

Well you know...blue is the BE colour, I was thinking more in theme.

But hey, that looks pretty grand. I was really wondering how far it could go, 'cos you know we don't have that many differentiations for the Empires classes and so on and so forth. That's why I asked...because if you can do things like that, well...

Oh shiiiiiit, I just remembered one of the things we really really need - class identifiers on the models. So like..a little spanner/cross for engineer, a bullet for rifleman, or something similar. I'll dig up the threads a little later so I can show you what I really mean, and whether or not you can add things like that - arm patches most likely, or some other small notifiers on the clothing.

Oh and yes, thanks a lot for that skin :D

That looks good copyright, you should change the current forest camo to resemble the camo of hunters. I'm talking about the one that has like pictures of leaves and branches on it that are really high resolution.

Something like this would be cool:

You got steam? Just for chatting about other texture stuff, not for asking you to make me new infantry skins.
