    Is it possible to implement a sort of macro where you can just put down the right type of skill, weapon, grenade for a certain class?

    This is helpful when you know you're going to switch classes a lot for different purposes and you don't like wasting your time picking grenade and weapon and skill and all that junk.

    I know people will probably hate the idea of this encouraging a person to keep switching classes fast and just being useless, but i found out it's pretty nice to switch role multiple time to achieve an objective. The thing is, everytime you change class, you will have to waste a few precious seconds selecting options for your new class that you want to switch to.

    I suggest having 4 slots to remember your soldier's layout like in CounterStrike, so that you don't have to redo everything every time you pick a new class. It should be set up in a way so that it's fast to save the option that you chose, delete the option, and picking a new one.

    This probably could be implemented in the vehicle branch too, im just not sure if it's needed; although i have seen a few people spending a long time standing in front of the vehicle selection screen.

    Yes it would be nice if you could set up class config files so that your upgrades are selected autmatically when you get enough points, for example an engineer.cfg in your empires folder with:
    Code:
    /// skills loadout
    skill1 "repairupg"
    skill2 "revive"
    skill3 "turretupg"
    skill4 "speedupg"
    ///weapon loadout
    primaryweapon "smg2"
    secondaryweapon "pistol2"

    which always starts you with smg2 and pistol2, and when you join a squad it automatically will set your first skill as repair upgrade, and then when you get enough points for more skills they are selected automatically for you.

    Of course you would still have the ability to change these in game as normal, and would be able to set up more than one config that you could easily switch between by execcing them in the console or binding buttons to switch between them. For example you could have one grenadier config for infantry play, and another for vehicle play, with all the vehicle skills chosen, then when it gets to midgame and you are mostly driving tanks, just press a button and respawn to change to your tank driving config.

    For vehicles, I find that:

    Superlight Design

    DualRails Design

    Standard Designs for each vehicle [helps on glycen]

    Escort layout for Heavy APC.

    That's the designs I use, and they get me through 90% of my matches fine.

    Set it up so you can type a number that is on the listed class/weapons:

    So In the class box:
    1 - scout
    2 - riflemen
    3 - grenadier
    4 - engineer

    and in the skill box (once you've clicked and opened them):

    1 - first skill
    2 - 2nd skill
    etc.

    Having default skills set would also help new players a great deal, since they'd spawn with at least some skills until they learned how to customize them themselves.

    this would make the learning curve of empires from somewhere around a cliff to a cliff with handholds.
