Right, because it's not like one enemy engineer couldn't build 2 turrets in the time it took you to destroy one. The only thing that can stop a good turret creep is arty. Not to mention turrets are severly lame and slow the game down. I think level 1/2 is fine but 3 are way too good for the research costs/unit cost. We'll see though I guess they will be comparitevly more expensive to tanks. EDIT: Depends, is that the comm price or the screen price. If that is comm price it is higher. But I mean there are alot of varriables there but it's def not cheaper.
I don't think we should lower the prices on vehicles. I do, however, think we should INCREASE the price on arty, or find some other way of making it at least a LITTLE fair. I'm all for there being artillery in the game, but not if it can be it's own main assault force and defense...
You said at the start: we need more massive tank battles: I totally disagree. Tank battles are fun, but it's funner and more tactical to have one tank per 2 - 3 supporting infantry. that's how it works out now and it works.
Think of it this way. We lower the price of tanks. Tanks are the main deterrent for arty. Cheaper tanks==More tanks on the field==Less dominating arty
there are better ways to reduce the domination of arty with that logic: "NEW RAILGUN-MOWTAR-BLIMP TROOPER111 == less dominating arty"
Please try and stay on topic. :p I increased the price of the artillery chassis as well as that of the arty cannons. Chassis are now 700, from 670, and the cost of average artillery is now 1019. Which, I suppose, is up 9 res. But it's all more thoughtfully distributed. I may decrease them again once I start playing with the weight system, and the characteristics of a few select weapons.
