i love it! but i dont like the turrets on the advanced walls if they have an "ai" if they where player controlled id love them too
i know that is woul mess with the R speeds, but it there any way we could add more random stuff to the bases, such as barrels and ... stuff... just to make the bases a little more detailed
maybe add some walking paths the comm can construct, making players walk "sprinting speed" whitout using the sprint barr then you woud make cenery to the roads, so bases get fancyer with a purpus cous comms can make connections from base A to base B and players can get fast from one to the other like in roman days
Wasn't that already planned? And I read somewhere that krenzo had nightmares coding them... I could imagine; have to compinsate for terrian level... make sure the model doesnt clip... aye...
i thougt they were gona script it with teleports like a small bunker that has the entrance to the tunnel network if you enter it you first need to close the door you came from (you get teleported unknowingly to an exact copy of this chamber once the door is closed) now you can open the tunnel, enter it and all, if you leave the tunnel you first need to close the tunnel, (you get teleported to the exact copy of the tunnel bunker that is supposed to be where you left the tunnel) and you can leave on that spot (but you never actually got under the map, you just teleported to some tunnelsystem scripted in the map and all) this coud allow the commander to see better how its newly built tunnel system is doing (cous he cannot see troug the floor)
What if the tunnles would "glow" through the floor just to the commander? To enter the bunker you would just get "teleported inside" and you can walk around (So you would just press E on the hatch) inside the tunnel system...
I really hope this gets implemented. Advanced walls ftw. Oh and the tunnels could be above ground and with firing slits on the sides.
TRENCHES!!!!! except they have raised sides. so the bottom is actually normall ground hight. wtf is ftw?
then it woud not be trenches, thenches are in the ground so tanks cannot fire on them, and enemy infantry cannot use them as cover if the trench itself is not taken if there are gona bee trenches in the game they shoud not stick more out of the ground then "duck" hight (37 units)
Sadly I dont think it is possible to make this in the source engine :'( So it will have to be a structure that is built kinda like a wall; sort of like this: /|_|\
Tunnels didn't work. Something about the game going all bitchy because they tried to cut into the terrain.
