Just came back because my Steamclient started updating empires today. I see, everyone now derails everything. No one really plays the fubar game. Empires has aged badly. ... EDIT: I was originally looking for a list of changes/fixes.
The game was ported to source 2013 to fix a crippling error introduced by an update to source 2007. There were script changes, but that's about it.
Nobody bothered to at least post on the main webpage, let alone onSteam or in the main menu news panel? So the vast majority of people still thinks the game is broken. I understand the "we're waiting with the PR push" thing, but come on, anyone who goes to check Empires should be informed that they can run it ASAP.
LOL, you heard it in the my GIF thread first! But seriously, make an announcement, that Empires is ported to 2013, has still a few bugs that will be ironed out and FINALLY FUCKING WORKS.
Put up a post on the webpage and in game saying that it works but crashes, and post an announcement on Steam along with the former two places once the crashes are fixed then. Again, if someone goes dfar enough to check, they should know. Right now, they'd literally have to go to a seemingly random GIF thread in the off topic section to learn about 2.5.
