You mean oblivion, skyrim, and by extension fallout and thief 3, had a super simple thing compared to oblivion. I still don't know why they didn't use oblivion's lockpicking it was so much better.

Oh right, I only really played Oblivion, but it's not the only game that has a bad influence on children, look what GTA does:

Oblivion lockpicking is dope. I leave the sewers and can break any standard lock in the game. It's entirely player-skill based, but in my hands, 5 security is as good as 50 or 100. The skyrim/fallout 3 lockpicking is less forgiving, and a lot more boring. Fallout especially because you HAVE to invest skill points to use it.

You can't embed .gifv, the browser doesn't recognize it. (Dunno how it works on imgur and not outside of it)
It's because the .gifv file doesn't actually exist; imgur's server is just doing a bit or url rewriting magic to serve you a page containing the .mp4 video element (and other things).
Check the .gifv page source to see what I mean.
Changing the extension to .webm works though. (I did it for you)

You could also just rename the extension to .gif and post it as an image.
